NY Hospital Queens Tracks Medtronic Suture in the OR

Case Study, In The News

NY Hospital Queens tracks and monitors its medical suture inventory in the core operating room. The installation is an expansion to an already operating and successful SmartCabinet installation.

Each Cabinet can store and track hundreds of items, including their make, expiration dates, usage and more. The information is available in real-time from anywhere inside or out of the hospital, ensuring the suture inventory levels are always available for required procedures.

Nurses or Materials Management clerks no longer need to count and manually record usage of the supplies. Furthermore, they no longer need to worry about the item’s availability during critical procedures.
