BIO

Shmulik Bakerman is a senior healthcare operations and business development executive with more than three decades of experience working across hospital systems, public healthcare procurement, and enterprise healthcare organizations. As Vice President of Sales and Business Development at IDENTI Medical, he is responsible for global commercial strategy, sales execution, and distribution partnerships supporting hospital adoption of AI-driven operational technologies.

Shmulik joined IDENTI Medical in 2018 and has since led the expansion of the company’s sales and distribution footprint across international healthcare markets. His work focuses on aligning IDENTI’s technology with the operational, financial, and procurement realities of hospitals and healthcare systems. Under his leadership, IDENTI’s solutions have been deployed across dozens of hospitals and medical organizations, improving inventory accuracy, charge capture, and operational efficiency at the point of care.

A significant portion of Shmulik’s career was spent at Sarel, Israel’s group purchasing organization (GPO) for public healthcare providers, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he was responsible for large-scale procurement operations, vendor relationships, and operational management supporting hospitals nationwide. This experience provided him with deep insight into hospital supply chains, public healthcare economics, and the operational constraints faced by large healthcare systems.

In addition to his work at Sarel, Shmulik has held CEO and senior executive roles at healthcare and technology companies, including MedGenesis Ltd. and Natratec International Ltd., where he led business growth, operational execution, and market expansion. He has also managed complex healthcare infrastructure projects, including hospital sterilization and central systems initiatives.

Shmulik’s expertise lies in bridging the gap between innovative healthcare technology and real-world hospital operations. He brings a practical, operations-first perspective to commercialization, ensuring that new solutions deliver measurable value, integrate into existing workflows, and meet the needs of clinical, financial, and procurement stakeholders.

At IDENTI Medical, Shmulik plays a key role in scaling the adoption of AI-powered inventory and charge capture platforms, supporting hospitals as they transition from manual, fragmented processes to automated, data-driven operational models.
